EEG is one of the highlights of the 39th Congress of the Brazilian League Against Epilepsy

September 27, 2022

Since 2016, the  Brazilian League Against Epilepsy has counted on Neurovirtual’s presence in its neurology congresses. And the 39th edition would not be any different. From August 11th to 13th, 2022 in Campinas-SP, professionals could visit the brand’s space to look closely at its electroencephalogram solutions. Neurovirtual was the only sector company present and was able to present:

Recognized as a space for exchanging epilepsy’s best practices, innovative research, and unparalleled learning, attendees were able to enjoy more than 100 educational content hours and were offered great networking.

The second day of the congress was totally dedicated to electroencephalography use in the neonatal area. Lecture topics were from technical aspects and classification tests to normal and abnormal EEG characteristics in newborns. Famously applied, the EEG is essential for diagnosing neonatal epileptic seizures, such as apnea, tachypnea, and mastication, besides the possibility of detecting different types of brain inflammation.

The LBE Congress also had space for other relevant neurology topics, such as Neuroimaging in Epilepsy, a Workshop about the semiology of seizures and epileptic syndromes in light of the 2022 ILAE classification, and the First LBE Basic Research Symposium. As an excellent scientific exchange, the Congress was a great opportunity to interact with neurologist colleagues from Brazil, Latin America, and the world.

Another Neurovirtual contribution toward the humanization of diagnosis through EEG.
