On September 27th, Neurovirtual actively participated in the Educational Workshop “Caring for Minds, Saving Lives: Education in Epilepsy”, held at the Félix Restrepo Auditorium of the Pontifical Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia. The event brought together national and international experts in neurology, nursing, and neurophysiology, with the goal of strengthening clinical knowledge in epilepsy. Key topics addressed during the workshop included general aspects of epilepsy and the role of nursing in patient care, the management of epileptic seizures in emergency situations, nutritional aspects of epilepsy with a focus on therapeutic diets, as well as neurophysiological evaluation through EEG and advanced monitoring techniques.
Within this framework, Neurovirtual presented its BWIII EEG, a state-of-the-art amplifier with 36 channels for complete EEG recording, designed to provide accuracy and versatility across different clinical settings. The system supports routine and clinical EEG, ambulatory EEG, epilepsy monitoring, ICU and NICU EEG, as well as long-term or continuous monitoring (cEEG), making it an integral tool for the diagnosis and follow-up of epilepsy. Through this participation, Neurovirtual reaffirms its commitment to continuing medical education, technological innovation, and the advancement of neurodiagnostics in Latin America.
